It's our top-selling coffee for a reason, and the reason starts long before we ever roasted a bean: it starts with why Pensacola calls itself the Cradle of Naval Aviation in the first place.

Why Pensacola and the Blue Angels Go Together

Naval Air Station Pensacola has been training naval aviators since 1914, when it became the first naval air station in the country. That century-plus of history is where the city's nickname comes from: pilots have been earning their wings over Pensacola since before most towns had paved roads.

The Blue Angels themselves were formed in 1946, and after moving through a few earlier home bases, the squadron settled permanently at NAS Pensacola in the mid-1950s. Ever since, the Blues have trained here, practiced here, and treated Pensacola as home base between air shows around the country. Locals grow up used to the sound of F/A-18s overhead. It's part of what living here sounds like.

Blue Angels Blend is a Full City roast built from Colombian, Costa Rican, and Sumatran beans: Colombian clarity, Costa Rican sweetness, and Sumatran depth, brought together into something smooth, bold, and steady no matter how you brew it. Notes of cocoa and brown sugar carry through the cup, with a hint of spice on the finish.

It's precision-built the way the Blue Angels' formations are precision-flown: every element doing its job, nothing wasted. That's also, not coincidentally, why it's become our best-selling coffee: it's not a novelty blend, it's just a genuinely well-built cup that happens to carry a name Pensacola is proud of.
